Role: Senior Database Management Specialist
Location: Baltimore

Required Experience:

8+ years in enterprise database design & administration

4+ years hands-on PostgreSQL & MongoDB

4+ years AWS (EC2, AMIs, CI/CD)

Strong in database architecture, performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and replication

Experience with large-scale database migrations, ETL, and data warehousing

Production support, including occasional off-hours

Key Responsibilities:

Design, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases and data warehouses

Administer PostgreSQL & MongoDB (tuning, backups, DR, patching, replication)

Manage AWS-based database operations and migrations

Query optimization (SQL/NoSQL) and ETL development

Monitor performance (CPU, memory, storage) and ensure security/governance

Collaborate with CI/CD teams (Jenkins, Git); perform routine DB maintenance

Preferred:
Healthcare/HIX/ACA domain experience and EDI knowledge (834, 820, 270/271).
