Job Description
We are seeking a Professional Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project planning, coordination, backlog management, and stakeholder communication and a proven ability to drive project workstreams to completion and deliver quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate assigned project activities, workstreams, deliverables, schedules, and follow-up actions under the direction of program or PMO leadership.
- Maintain visibility into status, open items, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
- Manage or support team backlogs by documenting work, tracking progress, and helping stakeholders prioritize items.
- Communicate project status clearly to internal teams, business stakeholders, and project leadership.
- Support removal of roadblocks by identifying contacts, escalating issues timely, and following through to resolution.
- Assist with project artifacts including schedules, status reports, meeting notes, backlog summaries, risk and issue logs, resource tracking, and presentations.
- Develop working knowledge of business concepts behind assigned solutions and serve as a point of coordination for the team.
- Track utilization and availability inputs for assigned team members as priorities shift.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with ownership mindset and ability to drive tasks to completion.
- Ability to support program and PMO leaders with timely status communication.
- Ability to organize and maintain a team backlog and clarify delivery expectations with stakeholders.
- Ability to understand business concepts behind assigned solutions and build subject matter familiarity.
- Ability to track resource utilization and project activity across multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Skills:
- 3-5 years in project coordination, project management, or business operations; healthcare, Medicaid, or Medicare experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling tools and standard delivery practices.
- PMP certification preferred, not required.
- Technical aptitude to support content comprehension and coordination.
- Experience creating professional PowerPoint presentations and presenting to stakeholders and leadership.
- Familiarity with budget tracking, metrics, scope and risk management, and project management software.
Key Skills:
- Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
- Project management principles and standard delivery practices.
- Resourcefulness in resolving project roadblocks.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
