Electrical Fabrication Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking an Electrical Fabrication Designer.

Responsibilities:
* Open model and start designing 3D elements immediately
* Design Raceway Conduits, cable trays, and supports
* Supporting as needed
* Field walks, if local, and site walks with other engineers
* Reaching out for info is key if missing something
* Prioritize and multitask different projects
* Projects can be anything from bathroom to a data center
* Mostly modeling 3D elements in our Revit model for support of conduits, cable trays, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree preferred in Computerized Drafting field
* 5+ years of experience and evidence of exceptional ability
* Perform design, drafting and 3D modeling using Revit for electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, Security, Telecomm, etc.
* Use National Electric Code to create designs in compliance with national codes
* Expert knowledge of electrical system components, conduit types, fittings, pull boxes, cable tray, etc.
* Interface and collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines, including understanding 3D coordination with those disciplines
* Create clash-free model with components to LOD400 and perform flythroughs for stakeholders using Revizto
* Interface with construction trades and perform regular field walks to review installation progress and adherence to model
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
