Help Desk Technician | Battle Creek, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Battle Creek seeking experienced Help Desk Technicians. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, including specialized manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems affecting production systems.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of IT assets within the manufacturing facility.
  • Assist with the deployment and configuration of new workstations, software, and peripherals on the production floor.
  • Document support procedures and solutions for common manufacturing-specific IT issues.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff or vendors, particularly those impacting production.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, barcode scanners) and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, ERP systems).
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and remote support tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse users on a production floor.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor)
  • Familiarity with SCADA or other industrial control systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification
  • Experience supporting CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
