Role Overview We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to serve as Managing Director, Head of Digital Assets. This role will shape Scotiabank's digital asset strategy, with a focus on stablecoins and tokenized deposits. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive product innovation, and ensure alignment with treasury fundamentals such as liquidity, settlement, reconciliation, and controls.

Key Responsibilities - Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-looking digital assets strategy aligned with GTB and enterprise goals.
- Innovation & Execution: Lead initiatives to design, pilot, and scale digital asset solutions, including stablecoins and tokenized deposits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders (Treasury, Product, Risk, Compliance) and external partners to drive adoption and innovation.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of trends in blockchain, digital currencies, and regulatory developments; translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Team Building: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Governance & Risk: Ensure digital asset solutions meet regulatory standards and internal controls.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Technology; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in digital assets, innovation, or transaction banking.
- Deep expertise in blockchain, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and digital asset infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of treasury operations and global transaction banking.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience navigating regulatory frameworks related to digital assets.
- Familiarity with data analytics and AI-driven insights.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action.
- Curious, empathetic, and grounded in financial fundamentals.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity.
- Passionate about shaping the future of finance through technology.
