We are hiring a Salesforce Developer to support a federal healthcare client modernizing constituent and patient engagement on Salesforce Government Cloud Plus. You will build on Health Cloud, design Lightning Web Components, write performant Apex, configure Flows, and stand-up Experience Cloud portals that meet FedRAMP High, HIPAA, and Section 508 requirements. This is hands-on engineering work on a mission-critical platform serving veterans, beneficiaries, or federal health program participants depending on engagement assignment.
You will work directly with the technical architect, integration engineers, and the client’s program office. Code quality, security posture, and accessibility are non-negotiable. If you write clean Apex, understand governor limits in your sleep, and have shipped production Health Cloud implementations, we want to talk.
Roles & Responsibilities
Build and extend Salesforce Health Cloud functionality including patient/member data models, care plans, care team relationships, clinical data integration, and utilization management workflows. Develop Lightning Web Components that are accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508 compliant), performant, and reusable across portals and internal consoles. Write Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and asynchronous processes that respect governor limits and follow Salesforce architectural best practices. Design and implement Flows (Screen Flows, Record-Triggered Flows, Scheduled Flows) for business automation, with judgment on when Flow is the right tool versus Apex. Configure and customize Experience Cloud sites for constituent self-service, provider portals, or partner collaboration with appropriate sharing models, guest user hardening, and branded UX. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions. Support deployments through DevOps Center or equivalent CI/CD pipelines into Government Cloud Plus environments. Write unit tests achieving meaningful coverage (not just the 75 percent floor) and integration tests where appropriate. Collaborate with the integration team on MuleSoft or REST/SOAP API patterns connecting Salesforce to EHRs, claims systems, and federal data sources.
