Join FactSet's Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team as the Lead Infrastructure Operations Engineer, the senior technical owner of infrastructure operations at our Virginia data center. You will combine hands-on engineering, project oversight, vendor and stakeholder management, and mentorship to keep the facility and its supporting infrastructure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective.

As a key member of our collaborative team, you will be the point of contact between the data center, partner departments, and director-level stakeholders. You will help ensure that the tools and processes behind our infrastructure keep improving.

What You'll Do:
  • 6+ Serve as the senior technical owner of infrastructure operations at the Virginia data center.
  • Lead the enhancement of infrastructure software and hardware tooling to improve deployment, connectivity, and the user experience.
  • Provide project management and technical oversight for large-scale technology rollouts and facility buildouts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure design, with a focus on autonomy and scalability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues, and act as the escalation point for infrastructure support.
  • Partner with director-level stakeholders and other departments to align goals and integrate tools, systems, and projects.
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships to deliver regionalized services and contracts that are cost-conscious and beneficial to end users.
  • Champion best practices, coach and mentor engineers, and foster technical excellence across the team.
  • Monitor capacity across our infrastructure in the datacenter.

What We're Looking For:
  • Significant experience in data center or enterprise infrastructure operations, including hardware, networking, and systems support, with a record of increasing responsibility.
  • Bachelor degree in computer science or related.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and rollouts from planning through delivery.
  • Experience with alerting, monitoring, and incident management in a production environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with director-level and cross-departmental audiences.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring engineers.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor and contractor relationships, particularly with telecoms.
  • Experience with hybrid (on-premises and cloud) infrastructure environments.
  • Scripting or automation skills used to improve operational tooling and deployment.
  • Experience with facility buildouts, colocation, or regional service and contract management.
  • Experience managing assets with ITSM and DCIM tooling.
