The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is seeking a visionary Senior Digital Hardware Engineer to spearhead the creation of next-generation embedded control platforms. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between conceptual architecture and physical realization, developing ruggedized technology designed to thrive in the most demanding industrial environments.

This is a chance to join an award-winning culture that rejects the status quo, rewards intellectual curiosity, and provides an elite environment—complete with premier benefits—to solve complex engineering challenges.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect sophisticated schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts for high-performance digital control systems.

  • Synthesize complex hardware requirements by selecting mission-critical components and implementing advanced DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFT (Design for Test) methodologies.

  • Lead rigorous peer-review sessions for circuit designs and layout outputs to ensure peak reliability and performance.

  • Engineer microcontroller I/O structures and logic-level signal conditioning, managing high-speed serial communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, and UART.

  • Collaborate with firmware engineering teams to synchronize hardware/software interfaces and drive successful initial board bring-up.

  • Execute comprehensive board-level validation, environmental stress testing, and EMC compliance protocols to meet stringent global safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot intricate hardware anomalies, implementing decisive corrective actions and technical improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by integrating modern design tools and staying at the forefront of digital hardware innovation.

  • Generate meticulous technical documentation, including comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs), interface specs, and cost modeling.

What You Bring

  • Academic Excellence: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a strictly related technical discipline.

  • Deep Domain Expertise: At least 10 years of professional experience dedicated to digital circuit design and embedded systems.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in integrated EDA tools (such as Altium) for end-to-end schematic capture and PCB development.

  • Communication Protocol Proficiency: Expert-level understanding of internal serial buses and external communication standards (Ethernet, RS-232/485) tailored for harsh-environment protection.

  • Validation Skills: Familiarity with circuit simulation software (e.g., LTspice, Simulink, or Plexim) and exposure to FPGA/CPLD development using VHDL or Verilog.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Practical understanding of IPC-610 standards and familiarity with UL/CSA regulatory frameworks.

  • Versatility: A foundational grasp of power electronics and analog circuitry is highly valued.
