Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a Staff Automation Engineer

• Developing Playwright-based frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing using languages like TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
• Integrating BDD practices and tools like Cucumber, collaborating on feature files to align testing with business objectives.
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins) for faster feedback and quality checks.
• Working with engineering, product, and DevOps teams on testability, contract testing (e.g., Pact), and test data management.
• Ensuring quality coverage for functional, accessibility (using tools like axe-core), and cross-browser/device testing.
• Mentoring other engineers and promoting quality best practices across teams.
• Implementing test observability through dashboards and analytics to improve stability. 

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in software test automation.
• 5+ years of experience with Playwright or similar modern frameworks, including proficiency in parallel execution and cross-browser strategies.
• 5+ years of strong BDD experience with Gherkin and pipeline integration.
• 5+ years as a CI/CD expert, including integrating tests into various pipelines and using Docker.
• 5+ years of experience with REST/GraphQL API testing.
• 5+ years of experience using AI for test case generation or self-healing locators.
