QA Analyst (Device Protocol Testing)

Overview

We are looking for a QA Analyst with deep experience in wireless device testing, 4G/5G protocol validation, and crossplatform application testing. This role focuses heavily on iOS and Android device behavior, networklevel testing, and application validation. Both manual and automation experience are required. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with OEMs, chipset vendors, and internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform device testing and certification for iOS and Android across 4G, 5G (SA/NSA/mmWave), VoLTE, VoWiFi, RCS/SMS/MMS technologies.
• Validate protocollevel call flows (RRC, NAS) across various network and mobility scenarios.
• Conduct crossplatform testing for mobile and web applications to ensure consistent behavior across devices, OS versions, and browsers.
• Execute manual and automationready test cases for device behavior, application flows, and networkdriven scenarios.
• Collect, analyze, and triage device logs using QXDM, XCAP, XCAL, and similar tools.
• Use Keysight UXM and other network simulators for protocol, signaling.
• Identify, document, and clearly communicate device issues to OEMs, chipset makers, and internal engineering teams.
• Work closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and define test coverage.
• Support regression cycles, field testing, and lab testing in a fastmoving Agile environment.
• Take ownership of issues and drive them through investigation, reporting, and resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of device testing and certification experience (lab + field).
• Strong understanding of 4G/5G wireless technologies, VoLTE, VoWiFi, RCS/SMS/MMS, and telecom network architecture.
• Handson experience testing iOS and Android devices, including log collection and triage.
• Experience with QXDM, XCAP, XCAL, and similar device logging tools.
• Experience with Keysight UXM or other network simulator boxes.
• Strong understanding of device stack behavior, applicationlevel testing, and crossplatform validation.
• Ability to write and execute manual and automationready test cases.
• Excellent communication skills able to clearly explain complex device issues to engineering teams, OEMs, and chipset vendors.
• Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
