Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead – Principal Solutions Architect to serve as the lead data warehouse architect for a federal agency’s data services and visualization platform. This role will be responsible for designing enterprise-scale data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions while leading cloud-based data architecture initiatives in an AWS environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing / Data Architecture.
Strong experience designing data lakes and data warehouse solutions using cloud technologies.
Hands-on experience with AWS S3, Databricks, Palantir Foundry, AWS Redshift, and AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
Experience creating logical and physical data models for complex heterogeneous data sources.
Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of enterprise data platforms.
Experience with data cataloging strategies and cloud-based metadata repositories.
5+ years of experience in System Architecture.
Experience with security architecture, access management, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
5+ years of experience producing technical documentation and architecture deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to senior leadership.
Experience working in Palantir Foundry, including Code Repositories, Ontology, Contour, Quiver, and Workshop.
Experience integrating BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Socrata with data lakes and warehouses.
