Summary

Position Summary:

The Disaster Recovery Administrator (DRA) is responsible for planning, scheduling and participating in Disaster Recovery exercises ensuring that the timelines are followed, issues are escalated and tracked to resolution. The DRA will be one of our system recovery experts in the organization and will fill a vital role in the success of the IT organization by monitoring DR replication status, ensuring we are prepared for a disaster and that processes are in place to meet all Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) as set forth by the business. The DRA will also be responsible for tracking system testing schedules and results, maintaining Business Continuity Plans for the business, monitoring and maintaining Data Center physical space, participating in IT Triage events and assisting with Data Center maintenance as required.

Major Responsibilities:
Leading small to medium scale Disaster Recovery-based initiatives of projects with some supervision.
Include IT or other process owner departments in Multi-dimensional projects
Assist with planning and scheduling of Disaster Recovery tests
Ensure DR documentation is up-to-date
Participate in and/or lead DR tests as required
Document DR testing results and collect test "sign-offs"
Work with IT and Business leads to identify defects and drive remediation
Assist in Data Center maintenance events, adhering to policies and standards
Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent IT training required.
Bachelor's degree in a related computer field is preferred.
Certifications in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (ABCP, CBCP) a plus.
Green Belt and/or Lean Certification preferred
Minimum 2+ years of utilizing project management processes is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus
Fundamental awareness of DB2, Oracle and SQL databases
Fundamental awareness of storage solutions (IBM, EMC, NetApp)
Fundamental awareness of replication technologies (IIDR, Global Mirror, QLIK CDC, Dataguard)
Demonstrated understanding of Penske processes such as: Penske Change Control, PDP and PIP
Know how to break technical solutions into logical units and can explain or demonstrate to others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
