Position Overview
· We are seeking a Business Analytics Manager for a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the organization’s analytics vision and BI reporting roadmap using Power BI as the enterprise reporting tool.
· This individual will own the Power BI ecosystem end-to-end — from architecture and governance to delivery and enablement — while driving adoption of cutting-edge capabilities including AI-powered analytics and Microsoft Fabric.
· The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical depth and business acumen to align stakeholders and elevate data culture across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the organization''''s analytics strategy and multi-year BI reporting roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to identify high-impact analytics opportunities and translate them into measurable initiatives.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise Power BI solutions including dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
- Manage the Power BI tenant configuration, capacity settings, workspace strategy, and service principal governance.
- Design and administer row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), and workspace permission models in Power BI.
- Lead performance tuning of Power BI semantic models including DAX optimization, query folding, aggregations, and incremental refresh.
- Lead integration of Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or other internally hosted AI/LLM tools with Power BI to enable natural language querying and automated insight generation.
- Identify opportunities to embed AI-driven analytics into operational workflows and executive reporting.
- Serve as the primary evangelist for data-driven decision-making, fostering a culture of self-service analytics across all business units.
- Maintain continuity of existing analytics solutions, overseeing ongoing enhancements and maintenance work.
· Champion Power BI adoption through enablement programs and documentation.
- Guide the organization''''s adoption of Microsoft Fabric including Lake houses, Data Pipelines, Direct Lake mode, and One Lake architecture.
- Manage and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts, providing technical guidance, career development, and workload management.
Qualifications & Requirements
· 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data management roles.
· 8+ years of hands-on Power BI development including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
· Demonstrated experience defining or contributing to an analytics strategy or BI roadmap.
· Strong knowledge of BI best practices: star schema design, semantic modeling, report UX, and self-service enablement.
· Intermediate SQL proficiency — ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation validation, and ad hoc analysis.
· Experience with Power BI performance optimization (DAX tuning, aggregations, incremental refresh, composite models).
· Experience integrating AI tools such as Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or other internally hosted AI/LLMs with Power BI or other BI platforms.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, Direct Lake).
· Experience in driving user adoption and building self-service BI capabilities across teams.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, consultative mindset.
· Microsoft certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), or equivalent.
· Experience with Claude, Copilot for Power BI and Microsoft 365 Copilot integrations.
