Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Analytics Manager for a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the organization''s analytics vision and BI reporting roadmap using Power BI as the enterprise reporting tool.

This individual will own the Power BI ecosystem end-to-end — from architecture and governance to delivery and enablement — while driving adoption of cutting-edge capabilities including AI-powered analytics and Microsoft Fabric.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical depth and business acumen to align stakeholders and elevate data culture across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

·         Define and own the organization''s analytics strategy and multi-year BI reporting roadmap aligned with business priorities.

  • Partner with executive stakeholders to identify high-impact analytics opportunities and translate them into measurable initiatives.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise Power BI solutions including dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
  • Manage the Power BI tenant configuration, capacity settings, workspace strategy, and service principal governance.
  • Design and administer row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), and workspace permission models in Power BI.
  • Lead performance tuning of Power BI semantic models including DAX optimization, query folding, aggregations, and incremental refresh.
  • Lead integration of Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or other internally hosted AI/LLM tools with Power BI to enable natural language querying and automated insight generation.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI-driven analytics into operational workflows and executive reporting.
  • Serve as the primary evangelist for data-driven decision-making, fostering a culture of self-service analytics across all business units.
  • Maintain continuity of existing analytics solutions, overseeing ongoing enhancements and maintenance work.

·         Champion Power BI adoption through enablement programs and documentation.

  • Guide the organization''s adoption of Microsoft Fabric including Lake houses, Data Pipelines, Direct Lake mode, and One Lake architecture.
  • Manage and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts, providing technical guidance, career development, and workload management.

Qualifications & Requirements

·         8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data management roles.

  • 8+ years of hands-on Power BI development including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience defining or contributing to an analytics strategy or BI roadmap.
  • Strong knowledge of BI best practices: star schema design, semantic modeling, report UX, and self-service enablement.
  • Intermediate SQL proficiency — ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation validation, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Experience with Power BI performance optimization (DAX tuning, aggregations, incremental refresh, composite models).

·         Experience integrating AI tools such as Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or other internally hosted AI/LLMs with Power BI or other BI platforms.

·         Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, Direct Lake).

  • Experience in driving user adoption and building self-service BI capabilities across teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, consultative mindset.
  • Microsoft certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), or equivalent.
  • Experience with Claude, Copilot for Power BI and Microsoft 365 Copilot integrations.

Quantifiable Outcomes / Impact Metrics

This role will contribute measurable value across the organization, including:

  • Defined analytics strategy and roadmap with measurable milestones.
  • Standardized, governable reporting and BI processes.
  • Faster report delivery and improved data quality/accuracy.
  • Increased adoption of the Power BI platform and self-service analytics.
  • Reduction of manual reporting effort, enabling cost savings and increased operational efficiency.
  • Advancement of modern analytics capabilities (e.g., Microsoft Fabric transition).
