Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact with customers supplier quality department.
  • Review and obtain agreement of customer specifications. Ensure compliance of agree specifications.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes specific to ladder frame components.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, OEM requirements).
  • Work with suppliers to establish and monitor quality standards for raw materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI), Process Capability Studies (Cp, Cpk), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and 8D problem-solving methodology for quality improvement.
  • Lead PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submission and documentation.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and robustness of ladder frame structures.
  • Analyze test results and field data to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Implement and monitor welding and assembly quality standards for ladder frame production.
  • Work with customers and suppliers to resolve complaints and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support internal and external audits related to quality systems and regulatory compliance.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor''''s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

 

Technical Qualification

  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in chassis or ladder frame manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, stamping, and metal fabrication.
  • Experience with automotive quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D).
  • Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of material properties and coatings for corrosion resistance in ladder frames.
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and durability testing.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and customer audits.
  • Strogn analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret test data and drive solutions.

 

Knowledge & Technical Skills:

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing with a focus on chassis and structural components.
  • Knowledge of NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) factors affecting ladder frames.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
