Software Asset Manager ( SAM / ITAM )
Location: Houston, Texas - Hybrid
A face-to-face interview is required for the final round.

Role Summary
Manage software assets across the organization, ensuring proper licensing, compliance, and cost optimization—primarily in a Microsoft M365 environment. Work with IT, finance, procurement, and security teams to maintain accurate license data, support audits, and reduce risk.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end software asset lifecycle (purchase to retirement)
Administer Microsoft M365 and Enterprise Agreements
Track licenses, usage, and compliance (ELP management)
Support vendor audits and ensure regulatory compliance
Optimize software costs and manage renewals/budgets
Collaborate with IT, cloud, and procurement teams
Report on license usage, risks, and compliance status

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (IT/Business/Finance or related)
5+ years in SAM/ITAM
5+ years with Microsoft M365 licensing
Experience with vendor contracts, audits, and compliance
Exposure to enterprise or regulated environments

Skills

Software licensing & compliance (Microsoft, SaaS, etc.)
IT asset management / CMDB
Financial analysis & cost optimization
Strong communication and stakeholder management
