Location: Rincon, Georgia (Onsite)
Employment Type: 6 Month Contract
Role Overview
This position supports engineering activities at a power-generating facility. The role involves providing technical plant support and developing long-term plans and budgets to maintain and improve equipment performance. The engineer will manage capital and O&M projects, conduct analyses to develop design options, and provide recommendations for plant systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and troubleshooting support for plant electrical and mechanical systems.
- Manage capital and O&M projects following prescribed procedures.
- Conduct ongoing inspections and evaluations of equipment.
- Recommend design improvements, performance upgrades, and other modifications.
- Serve as a troubleshooting resource for operations and maintenance personnel.
- Communicate effectively across groups and disciplines.
- Build effective relationships with plant staff, engineering teams, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
Education: An accredited bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
Experience: 10 years of related experience is required.
Technical Skills: A strong understanding of engineering principles, along with experience implementing projects and providing technical direction, is necessary.
Work Environment
The work environment is a combination of office and field settings. This role will require walking, climbing, and bending. The environment can be subject to seasonal temperature variations.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $55.00 and $62.00 per hour.
