Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Join Keysight's team delivering technical support for world leading solutions in electric vehicle (EV) battery test, charging station test, and grid emulator applications. Our solutions span multiple disciplines which include high power electronics, battery charge/discharge, vehicle charge communications interfaces, test automation, and control. The successful candidate will be a critical customer interface and must demonstrate a real passion for customer success. Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, excellent communication, and customer relationship management are key factors for success. Technical support will be delivered remotely where possible but, as our EV / grid emulation test solutions are often large installations, then travel to customer sites will at times be necessary.

  • Delivery of expert post sales customer support for Keysight's portfolio of products that support e-mobility applications from vehicle battery, Battery Management System (BMS), inverter, charging interfaces of Electric Vehicle (EV), and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).
  • Troubleshoot complex measurement, validation, and test challenges related to Electric Vehicle (EV) and Battery Test Systems, helping customers achieve successful outcomes.
  • Analysis, diagnose and resolve customer issues by using supported products.
  • Analysis and diagnosis of hardware and software failures (remotely or on-site as necessary).
  • Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements, recommend solutions, and provide guidance on best practices for test, measurement, and automation applications.
  • Partner with a team of engineers to ensure customer inquiries and support requests are addressed promptly and resolved effectively.
  • Employ case tracking tools to ensure that all customer issues are documented through to resolution and closure.
  • Document customer interactions, technical findings, and case resolutions within the case management system to ensure accurate tracking and fulfillment of customer commitments.
  • Create, maintain, and publish technical knowledge articles on the Keysight Support Portal to enable customer self-service and help customers resolve test and measurement challenges more efficiently.
  • Provide start-up assistance and customer trainings to ensure that system utilization and productivity are maximized.
  • Be the voice of the customer providing clear reporting and feedback.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through responsive communication, technical expertise, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Take best advantage from post sales interactions with customers to investigate and qualify further business opportunities.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess most or all the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, High Power EV, AC Grid, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree or PhD a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with 8+ years preferred, in application engineering, product development, customer support or other demanding technical capacity on electrical/electronic test solutions with experience of power electronics.
  • Hands on experience with Electric Vehicle (EV) Test, Battery Test Systems, High-Power Charging Test, EV/EVSE Charging Test, Battery Management systems and Power Grid systems.
  • Experience with test system software architectures and resolving network setup issues
  • The role requires a high degree of technical competence and experience. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of being a solid decision maker and the ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues in equal measure.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex measurements and test challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain advanced technical concepts to customers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated learner with a passion for developing expertise in emerging technologies, test methodologies, and Keysight solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus, as the team supports a diverse international customer base.
