Technical Support Technician

On-Site

Position Overview

A 2nd shift and 3rd shift Technical Support Technician is needed to provide hands-on support for end users across a wide range of devices. This role focuses on troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining equipment, supporting deployments, and ensuring accurate documentation. The position is fully on-site and requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Shift Availability

  • 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Technical Support

  • Provide in-person support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.

Hardware Maintenance

  • Set up and deploy new computers and related equipment.
  • Perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and component replacements.
  • Coordinate with procurement for replacement parts and equipment needs.

Software Support

  • Assist users with installing, configuring, and updating applications.
  • Troubleshoot software errors, compatibility issues, and system performance problems.
  • Provide guidance on software usage and best practices.

Problem Resolution & Escalation

  • Log all issues and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Follow up with users to confirm successful resolution.

Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware and software.
  • Track allocation, movement, and disposal of IT assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience providing deskside support and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with operating systems and productivity applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Understanding of basic IT security and data protection practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with device imaging and deployment.
  • Familiarity with hardware peripherals and workstation setup.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and document work accurately.

  • 100% on-site
  • Fast-paced, hands-on technical environment
  • Requires lifting, bending, and handling equipment as part of daily tasks

This is a Contract position based out of Jeffersonville, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
