Support complex Common Batch Framework and Common Scheduler processes to ensure reliable and current data for critical business operations and decision-making.
Manage Data Warehouse change management infrastructure, including code and DDL promotions.
Perform build engineering tasks for both manual and automated promotion processes.
Manage the Linux security model for Data Warehouse ETL servers, including user groups, access authorization, and sudo permissions.
Manage Teradata security and access.
Conduct data architecture reviews and audits to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and solutions.
Provide escalated Data Warehouse troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Evaluate and recommend data technologies and tools to improve performance and scalability.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and effective utilization of enterprise data assets.
Manage and support data integration processes and ETL workflows across multiple source systems.
Collaborate with external vendors and third-party service providers.
Support patch management, system upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues across data platforms.
Perform data profiling and implement data quality rules for assessment and validation.
Execute data cleansing and standardization using built-in and custom data rules.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for data systems.
Lead efforts to migrate Data Warehouse processes to standardized/common frameworks.
Conduct elevated access reviews and user audits to ensure compliance.
Identify and remediate audit findings related to data systems and security.
Required Qualifications :
Strong English communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in troubleshooting complex data and system issues.
3+ years of Teradata experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Previous government or State of Michigan experience.
Experience with cloud-based BI tools.
Other Desired Skills :
Experience supporting data loading from multiple source systems.
Ability to provide targeted training and technical guidance to development teams for troubleshooting and batch support.
2+ years of Linux experience.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to determine appropriate solutions while adhering to State of Michigan and MDHHS/DTMB policies.
