Genesis10 is currently seeking a Cloud Application Developer for a position with a Major Financial Institution. Compensation: $140,000.00 - $151,000.00 per year, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview: This role focuses on the technical design, development, enhancement, testing, debugging, and maintenance of scalable and accessible business cloud applications. The ideal candidate will migrate existing applications to the cloud, modify existing applications for the cloud, or build new cloud-native applications while supporting the design of business processes in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities: - Create and maintain various applications using different types of programming languages
- Integrate data sources and identify problems that can arise due to incompatibility or security concerns
- Design, configure and implement cloud-native software that solves business problems using cloud technology
- Maintain applications and infrastructure for cloud-based platforms
- Support the creation of strategies to enhance the performance of existing cloud technologies
- Develop workflows and processes following best practices and the cloud architecture
- Understand specific cloud resources, services, architectures, and service-level agreements to create scalable and extensive software products
- Create instructions for cloud computing operations and documentation
- Establish a development environment and continuous integration pipeline, utilizing modern application patterns and code efficiency
- Translate user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from users
- Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support
- Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules
Primary Requirements: - Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced proficiency in: Cloud computing, Cloud solutions, Software development, Scripting languages, Troubleshooting, Software development lifecycle, and Cloud storage
- Intermediate proficiency in: IT automation, Databases, Configuration management, Elastic computing, SaaS, PaaS, Cloud security, Customer Centricity, Verbal & written communication skills, Collaboration & team skills, Analytical and problem-solving skills, and Data-driven decision making
- Foundational proficiency in: Agile methodology, Creative thinking, Learning Agility, and Emotional agility
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
