Summary

Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote - USA

Primary Responsibilities:

Configure and fine-tune AWS WAF rules to protect applications from security threats and vulnerabilities
Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for development, staging, and production environments with automated build, test, and deployment processes
Implement test gates, quality checks, and rollback mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable releases
Create and maintain monitoring solutions using Amazon CloudWatch dashboards, logs, and alarms
Enable distributed tracing and observability using AWS X-Ray and perform advanced log queries for troubleshooting
Develop and maintain operational runbooks, incident response procedures, and SLA monitoring frameworks
Define and enforce tagging strategies and lifecycle policies for cost optimization and governance
Manage production deployments using CDK, including DNS configuration and TLS/SSL setup
Collaborate closely with frontend and backend teams to streamline deployments and improve system reliability

Experience and Skills Required:

9-13 years of experience in DevOps and Strong hands-on experience with AWS
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or Terraform
Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline)
Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, including WAF, IAM, and network security
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, logging frameworks)
Experience with DNS, TLS/SSL, and production-grade deployments
Knowledge of cost optimization strategies, tagging policies, and lifecycle management
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and incident management skills
Good communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional team.
