About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Data Virtualization Engineer with deep expertise in
Starburst and strong experience across modern data platforms. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise data virtualization solutions while ensuring performance, scalability, and data quality across distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities - Design and implement Starburst Data Virtualization solutions within enterprise data architectures.
- Optimize query performance across multiple distributed data sources.
- Analyze business requirements and data mapping documents to create test plans and cases.
- Perform source-to-target reconciliation, validate data loading, and ensure transformation rules are applied correctly.
- Develop and automate complex SQL scripts for validation (data completeness, consistency, truncation).
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane.
- Validate HiveQL, HDFS structures, and Hadoop cluster processing.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure data quality.
