A growing, mid?sized professional services organization is hiring an Analytics & Data Engineer to help elevate how the business uses data to make decisions. This role is based in Oak Brook, IL (hybrid) and sits at the intersection of Power BI, SQL, Azure, and Salesforce data, with a strong emphasis on analytics delivery and dashboard design. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex, messy data into clear, trusted insights that business leaders and operational teams actually use.
The person in this seat will become the go?to owner of analytics across the organization, shaping how metrics are defined, how dashboards are designed, and how stakeholders consume data. The biggest opportunity here is ownership and visibility. The analytics function is evolving, and this hire will have real influence over how reporting is built, how data is trusted, and how decisions are made. Required Skills & Experience - Strong hands?on experience building Power BI dashboards used by business or executive stakeholders
- Advanced SQL skills for transforming and analyzing data
- Experience designing analytics?ready datasets and semantic models
- Proven ability to define, document, and maintain business metrics and KPIs
- Experience working with data from Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Ability to partner directly with business users and translate questions into analytics solutions
Desired Skills & Experience - Experience working in Azure (Azure SQL, Fabric, or related tools)
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts (fact/dimension, star schema)
- Exposure to data pipelines or integrations (ADF, CData, or similar)
- Background supporting analytics in a services?based environment
- Strong communication skills and comfort pushing back on unclear or misleading requests

- 40% Power BI (dashboards, semantic models, DAX, performance tuning)
- 35% SQL & analytics datasets (data modeling, transformations, metric logic)
- 25% Azure & data integration support (troubleshooting, optimization, collaboration with vendors)
