Position: Embedded Real-Time Software Engineer (Ada)
Location: Orlando, FL
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Real-Time Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate software for mission-critical embedded systems. In this role, you will work across the full software development lifecycle-from requirements analysis through implementation, integration, and formal qualification testing-within a real-time embedded environment.
The software is developed and maintained primarily using the Ada programming language and is deployed on embedded operating systems.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software using Ada
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and verification
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, hardware, test, and quality engineers
Develop and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests
Support software/hardware integration and troubleshooting
Contribute to documentation and ensure adherence to engineering and quality standards
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
6+ years of real-time embedded software development experience
6+ years of hands-on experience programming in Ada, including software development and maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Linux and/or VxWorks operating systems
Software-hardware integration and testing experience
Experience working on multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as GoogleTest or similar tools
