Position: Embedded Real-Time Software Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Real-Time Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate software for complex, mission-critical systems. In this role, you will work across the full software development lifecycle-from requirements analysis and design through implementation, integration, and formal qualification testing.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software using modern C++.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, implementation, integration, and qualification testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as systems, hardware, and test engineering.
Integrate and test software with hardware components in embedded environments.
Develop and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests.
Contribute to continuous integration and automation pipelines.
Apply software engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and reliable code.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
6+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development.
6+ years of experience with C++ (C++11 or higher).
Experience working in an on-site engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multi-threaded, multi-core, and multi-processing embedded software systems.
Software and hardware integration and test experience.
Experience working as part of multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as GoogleTest or similar tools.
