Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client. The Work The Support Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure including servers, workstations, networks, and related equipment. This role ensures efficient operation, security, and reliability of client systems to support mission-critical functions. The administrator will also provide technical assistance to end users, resolve complex system issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and procedures.

Responsibilities- Support the migration and modernization of end-of-life (EOL) systems, including the assessment, planning, and execution of migration strategies for legacy systems running outdated versions of Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Analyze existing legacy system environments, identify upgrade requirements, and develop migration roadmaps to achieve full compliance with current organizational and security standards.
- Perform upgrades and transitions of legacy operating systems to supported versions, such as Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022, and RHEL 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, ensuring minimal disruption to mission operations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless migration activities, including data integrity verification, application compatibility testing, and post-migration validation.
- Implement security enhancements and configuration updates as part of the modernization process to address vulnerabilities and improve overall system performance.
- Document migration procedures, system configurations, and lessons learned to inform ongoing modernization initiatives and support future sustainment activities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise during and after the migration process to ensure operational continuity and end-user satisfaction.

- 8 years of experience with RHEL and Windows OS.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Reports to: Program Manager Working Conditions - Professional hybrid office environment with the ability to work on-site.
