Python Developer- CA/TX (Onsite)

Job Title: Python Developer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA or Austin, TX (5 days/week onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Contract)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our team for an onsite contract role in Sunnyvale, CA or Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python backend development, REST frameworks, and modern software engineering practices. This role requires close collaboration with customers and team members in an agile environment.

Key Requirements

• Must be local to San Francisco Bay Area or Austin, TX

• Comfortable with in-person customer interviews

• Active LinkedIn profile is required

• Willing to work 5 days per week onsite

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python

• Build and consume REST APIs using frameworks such as Flask, Django, or aiohttp

• Work across the entire application stack

• Collaborate within small, agile teams

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities

• Quickly learn and adopt new technologies in a fast-paced environment

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Python programming

• Experience with RESTful frameworks:

  • Flask

  • Django

  • aiohttp

• Experience with Python deployment methods

• Proficiency in Git-based version control

• Strong understanding of unit testing and software engineering best practices

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with one or more of the following Python libraries and tools:

• NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Polars

• Plotly
