Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Junior Program Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Mississauga, ON .

Responsibilities :
  • Support the execution and delivery of strategic initiatives across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and project management capabilities with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning. This role requires the ability to manage competing priorities, synthesize complex information into executive-ready materials, and collaborate effectively across teams while operating within firm's culture and ways of working.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple concurrent projects and program initiatives.
  • Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items using JIRA and other project management tools.
  • Perform financial analysis, budgeting support, forecasting, and reporting activities as required.
  • Analyze large datasets and develop meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
  • Create executive-level presentations by synthesizing data, project updates, and key findings into clear and compelling storylines.
  • Maintain project dashboards, status reports, and performance metrics using advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project objectives and adherence to established governance processes.
  • Support leadership meetings by preparing reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Adapt quickly to changing business priorities while maintaining focus on deliverables and deadlines.
Required Skills :
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field.
  • 3 -5 years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, PMO, Financial Analysis, Business Management, or a related role.
  • Strong financial background with the ability to interpret and analyze financial and operational data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Dashboard creation
  • Financial modeling fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience using JIRA for project tracking and issue management.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to create executive-ready presentations and management decks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Humility and a team-first mindset.
  • Strong willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.

Preferred Skills :
  • Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or a regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, and reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and project management best practices.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership and executive reporting.
