5+ years IBM MQ support with strong hands-on on z/OS (QMGRs, queues, channels). Experience in IBMi MQ preferred, along with MQIPT and distributed MQ knowledge. Proficient in z/OS tools (ISPF, JCL, SDSF, JES, VSAM) and integration with DB2, CICS, IMS, TCP/IP.
Skilled in MQ monitoring, alerting, automation, logging, QSG, clustering, and connectivity methods.
Experience with dashboarding tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and SMF data analysis. Exposure to MQ upgrades, DR, and support processes (incident/change/on-call). Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.
IBMi HA/DR (MIMIX, DB2 Mirror) and security (FISMA) experience preferred.
Nice to have skills:
Understanding of/experience with SMP/E DB2, CICS, IMS, Network/TCPIP, MF Automations - OPS/MVS, as they relate to MQ.
