Position: Business Development Manager (with Proposal Management Experience)
Location: Chantilly, VA (Onsite/ Hybrid)
Duration: Full-Time


Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager with proven experience in proposal development and management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and lead the creation of compelling proposals that win contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive positioning.
Develop and execute strategies to expand the company's client base and revenue streams.
Proposal Management
Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including RFP analysis, strategy, writing, editing, and submission.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, finance, marketing) to gather inputs and craft tailored solutions.
Ensure proposals are compliant, persuasive, and aligned with client requirements.
Maintain a proposal library, templates, and best practices for continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with senior leadership to align business development goals with organizational strategy.
Mentor junior staff in proposal writing and business development practices.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or proposal management.
Strong track record of winning proposals and securing contracts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and proposal management tools.
