Overview:
Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager who would support a complex federal area wide portfolio, focusing on coordination, schedule and risk management, and executive ready communication across federal customers, partners, and internal utility teams. The contractor would work with a 5 member team size that includes multiple stake holders and sub contractors. The Project Manager would support the Utility s area wide program (UESC) in support of energy saving measures (construction) for a Federal Customer.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience (management experience or certification would be a strong preference but not required)
Experience managing complex, multistakeholder projects
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners (e.g., contractors, government agencies, vendors) on projects with multiple dependencies.
Strong schedule and issue management skills.
Proven track record of managing long or multiphase project timelines, identifying risks early, tracking actions, and escalating issues with recommended solutions.
Clear communication and executive readiness.
Ability to produce concise status updates, facilitates meetings, and communicates confidently with senior leaders and customers.
Stakeholder Coordination Ability to align federal customers, ESCO partners, and internal BGE teams, ensuring smooth handoffs and clear ownership without delays or confusion.
Schedule & Risk Management Skill in managing long, multiphase project timelines, identifying risks early (approvals, access, dependencies), and escalating issues before they impact delivery or credibility.
Clear Communication & Reporting Capability to provide concise status updates, track actions, and communicate effectively with leadership and customers to support informed decisions and transparency.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Federal & Compliance Platforms- Familiarity with SAM.gov and Treasury IPP for federal registration, invoicing, and compliance workflows.
Construction Project Management Tools- Experience using Procore to track construction activities, submittals, schedules, and field coordination.
Government or Utility Project Exposure- Prior experience supporting federal, utility, or infrastructure projects where similar systems and processes are used.
