Who we're looking for

The Toyota Financial Services Production Engineering is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer - Sr. Cloud Networking Service Engineer.

Reporting to the Manager of Production Engineering, the individual in this role will play a pivotal role in the maintenance and enhancement of support for our Enterprise Data and Technology Platform. Engineer will collaborate with the Cloud Network Team and other application stake holders to ensure the seamless transition of services to the Production Engineering team. Furthermore, the engineer will work closely with the Major Incident Management team to address and resolve issues within the production environment

What you'll be doing

  • Lead design, management, and optimization of scalable network infrastructure across AWS and on premises, aligning with business goals.
  • Enhance AWS Cloud WAN connectivity and integrate complex enterprise networks with advanced routing and segmentation.
  • Oversee Palo Alto firewall operations and security policies to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Implement enterprise routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS) for scalable, resilient architecture.
  • Resolve complex network issues across cloud and hybrid environments, minimizing impact and driving improvements.
  • Collaborate with SRE, Cloud, Security, and Application teams to deliver secure, innovative infrastructure solutions.
  • Drive automation of network provisioning and monitoring using Terraform, Ansible, and Python to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze network performance data to lead continuous infrastructure improvements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and engage stakeholders to align infrastructure strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Manage 24/7 on-call support and lead incident management for AWS infrastructure to ensure reliability.
  • Partner with DevOps and Incident Management teams for smooth service transitions and scalable deployments.
  • Lead application support including API management, integration frameworks, and middleware for seamless connectivity.
  • Oversee API gateway deployment, security, and governance to support scalable, compliant integrations.
  • Collaborate on application lifecycle management and incident resolution related to APIs and integrations.
  • Continuously improve integration architectures by adopting emerging technologies to enhance interoperability.


What you bring

  • 8 years of strong hands-on experience with AWS networking services, especially AWS Cloud WAN, Transit Gateway, VPC design, Direct Connect, and network security controls.
  • 8 years of deep expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, security policies, and threat prevention technologies.
  • 8 years of advanced knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, VRFs, and modern data-center fabrics.
  • 10 years of experience supporting large-scale production environments with high availability and low latency requirements.
  • 4 years of proficiency with network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Added bonus if you have

  • 5 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Advanced Networking, or Security.
  • 4 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • 5 years of experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
  • 10 years of networking and security principles experience.
