Palantir Foundry Developer (Contract – 6–12 Months) . .
Seeking Palantir Developers for large-scale enterprise transformation built on Palantir Foundry, centered on the Unified Data Layer (UDL) platform. The platform consolidates data from hundreds of disparate source systems (including 30+ ERPs and operational databases) to deliver authoritative program performance visibility across schedule, cost, earned value, financial, material, and operational data.
The environment is business-led, executive-facing, and highly iterative. Requirements evolve rapidly as business leaders shape direction. Contractors will work under IT leadership, integrated into existing agile sprints, and are expected to produce visible, usable outputs from the first sprint.
Responsibilities
Backend
• Build and maintain Spark/PySpark data pipelines within Palantir Foundry, including data ingestion, transformation, and normalization from enterprise source systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, S4/HANA,CostPoint, Infor ERPLN, and related operational databases)
• Develop ontology models, object types, and link types aligned to L3Harris business requirements and data architecture standards
• Perform data integration and validation activities including source system connectivity, data quality validation across pipeline stages, and end-to-end data lineage verification
• Support production separation, migration, and ontology remediation/refactoring efforts where needed, including production readiness work
• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives) under Scrum Master direction
• Follow development standards including branch management, naming conventions, code review processes, and documentation requirements
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and documentation to enable long-term self-sufficiency of internal developers
Frontend
• Build and iterate frontend applications, dashboards, and user-facing modules within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem (Workshop, Slate, or Carbon as applicable)
• Develop advanced visual components including interactive charts and data visualizations using TypeScript and tools such as Vega or comparable libraries
• Translate ambiguous or evolving business requests into clear, usable interfaces. Prototype quickly, gather feedback, and revise on a near-daily cadence when needed
• Partner closely with backend engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver tangible progress that executives can see and react to
• Improve the usability and clarity of business applications without waiting for perfect functional specifications
• Contribute to frontend standards, component reuse, and documentation where it supports team velocity
Required
• 3+ years of backend engineering experience in production data environments
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, incomplete requirements, and rapidly shifting priorities; Mature, autonomous working style with strong professional judgment
• Ownership of outcome: test output thoroughly before requesting merges
• Strong fundamentals in Python, PySpark, SQL, and data pipeline architecture
• Experience building data-intensive applications or workflow-driven solutions in a business delivery context
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with non-technical business stakeholders
• Excellent hands-on TypeScript proficiency
• Experience building data-rich interfaces, dashboards, or interactive business applications
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and at least one major charting/visualization library
• Comfort working with incomplete requirements and continuously changing priorities
• Ability to iterate rapidly without losing quality or momentum
Foundry-specific (strongly preferred)
• Prior employment at Palantir Technologies (FDE, deployment strategist, software engineer, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Contour, and Workshop
• Familiarity with Foundry ontology design, object types, link configurations, and actions
• Experience with data synchronization connectors and ERP integrations (CostPoint, Infor ERPLN, SAP) within Foundry
• Understanding of Foundry branching, scheduling, and deployment patterns
• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry frontend tools: Workshop, Slate, or Carbon
• Experience building Foundry applications that consume ontology objects and actions
• Familiarity with Vega or Vega-Lite for advanced chart customization within the Foundry environment
• Understanding of Foundry application deployment and permissioning model
