Senior Network Storage Engineer

job summary:

We are seeking a Senior Network Storage Engineer to join our Digital Modernization team providing overall network engineering support for a broad range of critical programs. This role drives infrastructure enhancements by planning, designing, and evaluating network and storage technologies across the full system engineering lifecycle.

salary: $41.62 - 51.62 per hour

work hours: 9am to 5pm

responsibilities:

Provide overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs.

Support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance current network capabilities.

Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires an evaluation of various factors.

Serve in a lead role, providing technical direction, leadership, and training to less experienced staff.

Coordinate the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.

qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.

6+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong background in technical tasks directly related to network storage.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Ability to work a hybrid schedule on-site in Washington, DC (1 day per week in office).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive experience across the full lifecycle of complex IT infrastructure programs.

Proven leadership capabilities, including experience supervising or mentoring junior engineers.

Excellent communication and interface skills for collaborating directly with client and organizational managers.
