Summary

Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced end-user environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues while delivering exceptional customer service to employees across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments and a strong commitment to resolving technical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support for end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues.
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows-based workstations, applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Support MacOS devices using JAMF for device management, deployment, and administration.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related equipment.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents through ticketing systems while meeting established service levels.
  • Assist with workstation deployments, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain strong relationships with end users.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience providing desktop support in a corporate or enterprise environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows operating systems and related applications.
  • Experience supporting MacOS environments and utilizing JAMF for device management.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in mixed Windows and Mac environments.
  • Knowledge of endpoint management and device deployment best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and service management processes.

Environment

  • Approximately 80% Windows devices and 20% MacOS devices.
  • Collaborative IT support team focused on delivering excellent end-user support and customer satisfaction.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
