Job Summary
Tryfacta is seeking an IT Security Analyst for a temporary contract assignment. This role supports enterprise security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data.
Position Details
Position Title: IT Information Security Analyst
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – onsite schedule to be confirmed)
Duration: 5+ months (extendable)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage enterprise security tools and solutions
- Perform threat detection, incident response, and root cause analysis
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking
- Execute penetration testing and validation activities
- Review logs, alerts, and security events across systems
- Support implementation and configuration of security solutions
- Maintain secure system baselines and configurations
- Participate in security audits and compliance activities
- Assist in development of security policies and procedures
- Monitor threat intelligence and emerging vulnerabilities
- Provide on-call support for security incidents as needed
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of IT experience with focus on Information Security
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Tenable)
- Experience with endpoint security tools (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender)
- Experience with SIEM tools (AlienVault preferred or similar)
- Strong incident response and threat analysis experience
- Knowledge of NIST 800 series and/or ISO 27001/27002 frameworks
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux system administration
- Understanding of network security (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, protocols)
Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP, Security+, GIAC, or equivalent certifications
- Experience with Microsoft 365 security and cloud environments
- Experience with penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit)
- ITIL or Project Management certifications
