Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in native Android development, Kotlin, and test automation and a proven ability to design, build, test, deploy, and release high-quality Android applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build native Android applications for phones and tablets.


• Participate in the full app life cycle including concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release to app stores.


• Design and implement application updates with attention to performance and quality.


• Collaborate with product and design teams to define features, prototypes, and estimates.


• Identify potential problems, resolve bottlenecks, and fix bugs prior to release.


• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and automation of the application.


• Write and maintain documentation for features in development and drive best practices for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.


• Typically 5-7 years of professional experience in Android development.


• Expertise with Android Studio and native Android development.


• Proficient in Kotlin, Web Services, REST services, Core Java, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and XML.


• Proficient with code versioning tools including Git and Bitbucket.


• Knowledge of C-based libraries.


• Familiarity with biometrics, push notifications, and Camera APIs.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and unit testing.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment with strong communication skills.


• Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution focus.

Additional Details:

• Approved work location: Charlotte, NC.


• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. Onsite day 1.


• Start timeframe: June or July.


• Interview process: 2 rounds (first video, second onsite). Glider ID verification.


• Potential contract-to-hire. No sponsorship now or in the future.


• On resume: include current location or relocation plan, availability/start date, and any cooling-off requirement.


• Max submissions per vendor: 3.
