We're seeking a skilled Access Control & Security Systems Technician to support advanced security installations across enterprise, data center, and critical infrastructure environments.

What You'll Be Doing

Access Control Systems

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise access control systems
  • Mount and wire card readers, maglocks, strikes, electrified hardware, door contacts, REX devices, and power supplies
  • Install control panels, intelligent controllers, and system enclosures
  • Configure access levels, schedules, door logic, and alarm points
  • Test, commission, and verify system functionality

Video Surveillance Systems

  • Install and support IP-based CCTV and video management systems
  • Mount, adjust, and configure cameras for optimal coverage
  • Configure recording settings, analytics, retention schedules, and integrated system functions
  • Support ACS/VMS integrations and network-connected devices

System Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose hardware, software, wiring, and networking issues
  • Support live systems in secure, customer-facing environments
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project success
  • Maintain organized documentation, labeling, and as-built updates

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with access control or commercial security systems
  • Experience installing and servicing enterprise ACS platforms such as LenelS2, Genetec, AMAG, C CURE, Brivo, Openpath, Feenics, or similar
  • Familiarity with IP video systems and VMS platforms including Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone, ExacqVision, or comparable systems
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, electrified door hardware, and panel installations
  • Ability to troubleshoot integrated security systems independently
  • Comfortable working in secure commercial and data center environments
  • Strong communication and professionalism in customer-facing settings

Preferred Experience

  • Data center or mission-critical facility experience
  • Knowledge of fiber optic cabling and networking fundamentals
  • Exposure to cloud-managed or mobile credential access systems
  • Experience with enterprise-scale or multi-site deployments

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Work performed in secure facilities, enterprise campuses, and data centers
  • Primarily Monday-Friday schedule with overtime opportunities based on project phases
  • Occasional extended shifts during installation or commissioning periods
  • PPE required onsite (safety boots required)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ladson, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
