EPIC Cogito BI Developer / Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced EPIC Cogito BI Developer/Analyst to design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that support operational and clinical decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will leverage EPIC Cogito tools and Electronic Health Record (EHR) data to deliver actionable insights for healthcare stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and business intelligence reports using EPIC Cogito tools.
Analyze and transform EHR data into meaningful insights to support clinical and operational initiatives.
Collaborate with clinicians, business users, and leadership to gather reporting requirements and define KPIs.
Create data visualizations that effectively communicate trends, performance metrics, and outcomes.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and reporting solutions.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Support ad hoc reporting requests and data analysis initiatives.
Troubleshoot and enhance existing reports and dashboards for improved performance and usability.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new EPIC modules and reporting capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
EPIC Cogito Certification (required).
Strong experience with EPIC Cogito reporting tools, including:
Radar Dashboards
SlicerDicer
Reporting Workbench
Clarity
Caboodle
Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) data.
Strong data visualization and dashboard development skills.
Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and performance metrics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience in clinical quality reporting and healthcare analytics.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
Experience Required
3+ years of experience in EPIC reporting and analytics.
Experience in healthcare organizations, hospitals, or health systems preferred.
