OverviewMicrosoft is building one of its largest and most advanced data centers in the Phoenix metro area (PHX66 - 75MW). We are hiring
experienced Data Center Technicians to support critical infrastructure deployment for next-generation AI systems.
This team will focus on:
- Building out IDFs (Intermediate Distribution Frames)
- Constructing MORs (Meet-Me Rooms)
- Executing PRD (Production Ready Deployment) work for Colos 7 & 8
This site will power cutting-edge technologies, including
GB300 and Vera Rubin devices, driving the next wave of AI innovation on Azure.
Top Required Skills- Strong data center deployment experience
- Hands-on experience building:
Nice-to-Have Skills- Experience working in hyperscale or colocation data centers
- Familiarity with structured cabling and rack/stack deployments
- Experience supporting GPU or AI hardware installations
Key Responsibilities- Support physical build-out of data center infrastructure
- Install and deploy network, server, and cabling systems
- Build and configure IDFs and MORs
- Execute PRD tasks to prepare environments for production
- Follow strict safety and operational protocols in a live and construction environment
Work Environment & PPE- Active data center and construction setting
- Required PPE (provided/reimbursed):
- Composite-toe boots (reimbursed up to $100)
- High-visibility vest

- Ear protection
- Hard hat (for construction zones)

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
