Summary

Data Architect – Tallahassee, FL (Onsite)

We are seeking a Data Architect with deep experience in enterprise data design, database architecture, and large-scale systems. This role supports key initiatives within a State of Florida agency, focused on building scalable, efficient, and well-governed data environments.

What you’ll be doing:

Designing and implementing enterprise-wide data architectures
Developing and optimizing data models, data marts, and operational data stores
Balancing data access, performance, and resource utilization across systems
Defining and enforcing data standards, policies, and governance frameworks
Leading efforts in data acquisition, access design, and database optimization
Supporting recovery strategies and data load processes
Serving as a technical lead or subject matter expert across multiple projects

What we’re looking for:

7+ years of experience with large, complex database management systems
Strong background in data modeling, database design, and architecture
Experience establishing data standards and governance practices
Ability to work across multiple technical areas and business units
Proven experience leading projects or mentoring junior team members
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
