Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative data automation solutions for Azure cloud-based data lake, SQL, and NoSQL platforms.
- Translate business requirements into data engineering and AI-based solutions to support enterprise analytics and reporting.
- Develop high-performing data pipelines using Microsoft Azure services including Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, Apache Spark Notebooks, Python, SQL, and stored procedures.
- Research and incorporate cutting-edge AI/ML and GenAI tools to automate data processes and eliminate workflow bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with implementation specialists, engineering teams, and clients to develop data solutions addressing operational needs.
- Identify, prepare, and manage data required for analytics, visualization, reporting, and AI/ML applications.
- Implement data migration, data integrity, quality functions, and metadata management to optimize data pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.
- Support performance testing, validation, and tuning of Azure-based data pipelines.
- Document test results, issues, and observations clearly for team review.
- Participate in Agile DevOps activities including planning and continuous learning efforts.
- Maintain strict versioning and configuration controls to ensure data integrity.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in data automation, data engineering, or related roles
- Experience with scripting languages such as SQL, T-SQL, Python, or PySpark
- Proficient in designing and building ETL/data engineering solutions utilizing Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and Data Factory
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
- Knowledge of data automation using Azure/AWS CLI tools with Bash or PowerShell
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub for version control and pipeline management
- Support of production, testing, and development environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new technologies quickly
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support multiple projects
