Overview :

Experienced Workday Payroll professional to provide client-side staffing support during payroll parallel testing for an organization with three separate companies. This role will focus on payroll validation, process documentation, knowledge transfer, and advisory support to ensure a successful payroll testing and readiness phase.

Key Responsibilities :

Payroll Parallel Testing Support

• Support the planning and execution of Workday payroll parallel testing cycles
• Validate payroll results between Workday and legacy payroll systems
• Identify, track, and assist in resolving payroll discrepancies
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple companies to ensure alignment
• Support testing of payroll scenarios including earnings, deductions, taxes, and retroactivity

Documentation & Process Development

• Develop comprehensive documentation outlining end-to-end payroll processes
• Document payroll inputs, calculation flows, and validation checkpoints
• Create and maintain a standardized payroll processing checklist, including:
◦ Pre-payroll activities
◦ Payroll processing steps
◦ Post-payroll validation and reconciliation
• Ensure consistency across all entities while accounting for company-specific differences

Knowledge Transfer

• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with payroll and project teams
• Provide walkthroughs of Workday payroll processes and testing methodologies
• Deliver clear documentation and training materials for ongoing client use
• Enable client teams to independently manage payroll processes post-engagement

Testing Guidance & Advisory

• Provide expert guidance on payroll testing strategy and best practices
• Advise on test case development, validation approaches, and reconciliation methods
• Support risk identification and mitigation during testing cycles
• Offer recommendations on payroll readiness and go-live criteria
