RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Santa Clara, CA that is seeking a Process Engineering Technician.

About the Role:
We are seeking hands-on Process Engineering Technicians to support advanced manufacturing, research, and process development operations in a laboratory and cleanroom environment. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working directly with process equipment, samples, testing systems, and manufacturing technologies rather than performing solely office-based engineering work. This role will work closely with engineering teams to execute fabrication processes, support experiments, perform testing and measurements, document results, and help maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
* Load and unload samples from process equipment
* Prepare samples for fabrication and testing activities
* Perform manual assembly of small components and devices
* Operate and maintain precision manufacturing and process tools
* Conduct testing and measurement activities using laboratory equipment
* Utilize optical, confocal, and other metrology systems
* Record process data, test results, and observations accurately
* Enter information into manufacturing execution systems (MES) and Excel
* Identify and communicate process, equipment, or quality issues
* Follow SOPs, quality standards, safety requirements, and cleanroom protocols
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
* Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and lab personnel to support development and production objectives

Available Shifts:
A Shift:
* Sunday - Tuesday + every other Wednesday
* 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
B Shift:
* Thursday - Saturday + every other Wednesday
* 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
* Candidates must be comfortable working assigned shifts and demonstrate flexibility as business needs evolve

Successful candidates typically have experience in one or more of the following environments:
* Semiconductor manufacturing
* Semiconductor R&D laboratories
* Cleanroom operations
* Device fabrication
* Thin-film processing
* Battery assembly or testing
* Pilot manufacturing
* Materials science laboratories
* Hardware engineering labs
* Precision manufacturing environments

Technical Experience Preferred:
* Device fabrication
* Thin-film processes
* Sample preparation
* Backend processing and assembly
* Process equipment operation
* High-precision manufacturing tools
* Testing and measurement systems
* Quality inspection and QA processes
* Optical microscopy
* Confocal microscopy
* Metrology equipment
* MES or shop-floor systems
* Process documentation and SOP compliance

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
