Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure using latest technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and contribute to the evolution of our data platform and capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and reporting needs.
- Snowflake: Utilize Snowflake to manage data warehousing, including data modeling, schema design, and optimization.
- Matillion: Implement ETL processes using Matillion to integrate, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake.
- SQL: Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and reporting. Optimize queries for performance and efficiency.
- Data Quality: Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and architecture.
Experience / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or technical field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• About 3+ years of experience in data engineering role, with proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a background in Snowflake, Matillion, Alteryx, and Tableau or relevant ETL and RDBMS technologies.
• SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, joins, and aggregations.
• Data Visualization: Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
• ETL Expertise: Strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices, with hands-on experience using Matillion or relevant tools.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Nice to haves:
• Knowledge of SAP S4 and SAP Business Data Cloud
