Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Analytical Scientist - Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. As a candidate for this largely laboratory-based position, you will be responsible for driving cutting-edge analytical support and technology development impacting process and product development teams. You will work cross-functionally to use analytical science to help drive efficient development and scalable understanding of processes and products. This is a 100% onsite role, working Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities: - Plan and perform experiments
- Conduct data analysis and document findings
- Maintain a lab notebook detailing materials, procedures, sample preparation, data analysis, and summaries
- Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems
- Operate specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities
- Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures
Requirements: - Master's degree
- OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience
- OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience
- OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
- A strong analytical background
Desired skills: - Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physical, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or an Engineering-related discipline
- Knowledge with HPLC
- Strong theoretical understanding, research, and hands-on experience in small molecule/peptide analysis in support of process development/scale-up activities
- Experience with a broad array of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques
- Demonstrate independence and ability to produce quality results under minimal direction
Pay range: up to $41.87 per hour
