Position Purpose:The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and lifecycle management of enterprise Windows Server infrastructure. This role goes beyond day-to-day administration and focuses on engineering reliability, scalability, and security across on-prem and possible hybrid environments. Systems Engineers act as technical owners for server platforms, drive remediation and modernization efforts, and partner closely with application, security, and infrastructure teams to maintain a stable and compliant environment.
Platform Engineering & Lifecycle Management:- Engineer, maintain, and modernize Windows Server environments across multiple versions (2008-2025 and beyond).
- Perform in-place OS upgrades, server builds, decommissioning servers, and lifecycle remediation.
- Own technical execution for production and non-production changes, including change documentation and validation.
Operations & Reliability (KTLO):- Serve as an escalation point for complex Windows Server incidents and performance issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident bridges, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure platform availability, resilience, and recovery for business-critical systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Work closely with application teams, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to Administrators and contribute knowledge to junior engineers.
- Clearly communicate technical risks, options, and recommendations to peers and leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience:A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 2 - 4 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:- Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server platforms.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, and enterprise change processes.
- Understanding of security concepts related to server infrastructure.
- Comfortable operating in a production, 24x7 enterprise environment.
- Proficiency with PowerShell.
- Understanding of cloud computing, particularly MS Azure.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring solutions such as Dynatrace.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently on complex technical problems.
Soft Skills:- Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty.
- Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Pay Range: $63,600.00 - $114,600.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
