Job Description: Business Systems Analyst- Lead (BSA-III)
Position Summary
The Lead BSA is accountable for the vision, direction, and delivery of a product. This role serves as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and the delivery team, ensuring requirements are translated into clear, actionable solutions and that the product aligns to user needs. The Lead BSA acts as the day-to-day champion of the user experience and steps in to resolve misalignment, ambiguity, or disconnects between business expectations and team execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product direction and outcomes
- Define and maintain the product vision and intended user outcomes.
- Ensure delivery aligns to business needs and provides strong user experience.
- Translate business needs into actionable work
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather high-level requirements and clarify intent.
- Create and manage epics and draft initial placeholder user stories capturing core intent for BA refinement.
- Identify and resolve conflicting, duplicative, or unclear requirements early.
- Backlog and prioritization management
- Own and maintain the product backlog in Jira, including re-prioritization as business needs and capacity shift.
- Balance and adjust assignment distribution to support equitable workload across the team.
- Cross-functional alignment and decision-making
- Serve as the key point of alignment between business stakeholders, BAs, scrum master, and development team.
- Make product decisions independently; recommend solution approaches to the business; escalate resourcing and cross-team coordination needs to leadership as required.
- Support delivery execution and team enablement
- Attend and actively support team ceremonies including daily standup and refinement.
- Provide timely responses to BA and team questions, offering guidance and feedback to keep work aligned to product intent.
- Facilitate early thinking and coordination for UX/UI work (where helpful) to better position BAs during refinement.
- Savvy and experienced working with offshore and onshore team and flexible with work schedule , given this is a remote role to move work forward and deliver high quality and work velocity.
- UX/UI review and guidance
- Review UX/UI designs (e.g., Figma) and provide feedback to improve usability, clarity, and alignment with requirements.
- Think through larger end-to-end scenarios, document flows and impacts, and socialize with the team and stakeholders for feedback.
- Status, reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Provide refinement progress and project updates through dashboards and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain Jira dashboards that support reporting on refinement schedule, flagged items, and team responsiveness needed to close refinement questions.
Day-to-Day Activities (Typical)
- Participate in standups, refinement, steering committee discussions, and business requirement sessions.
- Answer team questions, provide directions, and resolve uncertainty to prevent delivery delays.
- Review and comment on UX/UI designs and workflow scenarios.
- Manage backlog health, prioritize work, and redistribute story assignments as needed.
- Create new epics/stories to capture newly discovered requirements and follow-ups.

- Contributes to establishing team structure and processes, often leading without direct authority.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to manage a high-volume backlog.
- Ability to provide clear, consistent direction and align diverse stakeholders around product vision.
- Ability to create process flows to simplify and communicate complex end-to-end scenarios.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce capabilities and constraints to guide solutioning discussions.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-management skills; comfortable leading without authority.
- Experience working in large pharmaceutical or healthcare organizations in highly matrixed work environments.
- Salesforce CRM savvy, preferably Service Cloud and Experience Cloud offerings.
