JD:
We are seeking a Reporting Data Analyst with strong expertise in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, specifically Commercial lines. The ideal candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and bridge the gap between business operations and enterprise data warehouse systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as SME for P&C insurance domains including policy, claims, billing, and financial data
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and validate reporting requirements
- Translate insurance business concepts into KPIs, metrics, and data models
- Analyze and explain commercial policy lifecycle (quote, bind, issue, renewal, cancellation, etc.)
- Interpret claims lifecycle data including reserves, payments, and recoveries
- Ensure accurate data lineage, transformation, and reconciliation across systems
- Develop and validate complex SQL queries and reporting objects
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across source systems and DWH
- Document business rules, mappings, and data definitions
Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL and data warehouse (EDW/DWH) experience
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter)
- Experience with Genius and SAP (preferred)
- Strong understanding of data lineage, ETL, and reporting concepts
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
Domain Expertise (MANDATORY):
- Commercial P&C Insurance lines including:
- Commercial Auto
- General Liability
- Workers’ Compensation
- Commercial Property
- Umbrella / Excess
- Inland Marine
- Professional Liability
Experience:
- 8+ years in reporting/data analysis
- Strong Commercial P&C insurance experience (must have)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
